WINNER OF A 2010 LOCAL NARI CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR RESIDENTIAL KITCHEN $80K – $120K
The existing galley-style kitchen in this home was extremely limiting for its young, busy family. With room for only one person at a time, the rest of the family was forced into other rooms of the house. The appliances, oak cabinetry and ceramic floor were all outdated and in desperate need of replacement. In addition, the adjoining covered patio could be better utilized, if it were a more integral part of the family’s daily lives.
We expanded the kitchen area by extending a gable roof-line over the existing patio, thereby providing the clients increased kitchen space, while creating a more architecturally-pleasing area. We also installed a vaulted roof and ceiling that will effectively divert water away from the patio area.
Aesthetically, the kitchen now takes on a more lively and contemporary feel. Gleaming stainless steel appliances and sleek cabinetry are offset by brightly colored walls and strategically placed accent lighting. The counter tops reflect local desert hues; and the skylights bring natural light into the previously dim space.
